What I am about to say is obvious, but if you want to lose weight you need to work out. I don’t believe in these blog posts who talk about losing weight without having to workout. But don’t worry, I won’t give you these boring workouts that everyone hates (yes, I’m talking to you mister cardio).
1 - First off, let’s talk about cardio. Cardio is something everyone hates and let me surprise you, it doesn’t make you lose weight, it does the complete opposite. When you are running on a treadmill your body stores your fat instead of burning it (it’s like if your body puts himself on a surviving mode). Instead of that, you should try intense cardio that burns fat, build muscle in half the time of normal cardio (ex: machine below).
2 - Swimming is great that I recommend to every person who tries to lose weight. Not only it preserves your body because it’s a normal movement (this means you have no more excuses). But while swimming you work out every muscle of your body.
3 - Jumping rope. This tool is absolutely great, it’s portable, cheap and you can do it anywhere (I would not recommend doing it at the office though). Jumping at a moderate rate burns 10 to 16 calories a minute, depending on your body mass!
4 - Weight lifting is another quite obvious workout. It replaces your fat by muscles and has many benefits like you will look better in your skinny jeans or you can do it in under 30 minutes (down below is a few exercises you can try out).
5 - Of course, I could not talk about workouts for weight loss without including boxing. Boxing has 4 major benefits, it enhances cardiovascular health, it improves total body strength, you will have a better hand-eye coordination and it decreases stress.
